Christmas Toy Idea

This farm is enjoying a new transformation in our home.  It is now home to a family of little critters.  We were introduced to these toys by Adam's cousin's wife and their daughter who spends hours imagining and designing her rooms.  They are on the pricey side, but we've been collecting for months now.  Now, we are saving up for one of the houses that have more rooms.  If you are looking to start collecting something for your little girl ... you should check these out.  They are called Calico Critters and you can buy them online through Toys R Us.

The Second thing I'd like this Christmas...

so, if you  have about $200 laying around, you might want to get this for ME or for YOU.  It's a Karaoke System that has about 1600 songs built into the microphone.  How freaking cool is that ... if you get one, please invite me.  If by chance I'm on the NICE list, I'll invite you.

The Good, the Bad ... and the Beautiful

Many of you are aware that I had surgery on Wednesday to have my appendix removed.  I'm home and recovering really well ... with the help of family and friends.  I couldn't have done it without my sister-in laws (April and Baylee), Adam and friends (Becky came over to keep me company and do my dishes, what a sweet heart).  My mom just came into town this morning and is helping me now.  IT is so wonderful to have people come and help when life gets difficult.  I'm reminded of how blessed I am.  

Many of you also know that Adam and I had been trying to get pregnant earlier in the year and it just wasn't happening ... so thankful that it didn't.  Heavenly Father really knows what He's doing, right?  As it turns out ... we've also decided that we are just going to have these two adorable children.  Maybe Heavenly Father will change our minds later ... you never know :)  

I hate hospitals.  Really, I do.  But, who loves hospitals?  raise your hands.

My Appendix story.

Pain, lots of pain on Monday night.  I think I got a total of 30 minute nap that night because of the pain.  I started to think that perhaps I was giving birth ... started thinking of that show where the women have no idea that they are pregnant and then give birth.  CRAZY!  Didn't want to wake anyone up so I endured until the morning.  I still thought I could handle the pain ... when all of a sudden I thought, "what the heck am i doing to myself?" ... called the doctor and made an appointment.  Luckily, I was able to get in the morning.  The doctor told me right away that I needed to go to the ER because either a cyst in my ovaries had ruptured or I was having problems with my appendix.  After a very loooooooooooong day at the ER and in the hospital I had my appendix removed by my very nice Surgeon, DR. Ju and his crew at about 3 AM.  I came home that same day.  I'm on pain meds and I think I hate that part the worst.  

So many other things to say ... but my pain meds are getting in the way of my thoughts.  Ugh.

Anyways.  I upside.  I got to watch some of Oprah yesterday and she had a great deal that I wanted to share just in case you were unable to watch the show.

Turns out she has an unbelievable coupon from Payless Shoes (I know ...
